6 SIMPLE WAYS TO EMPOWER YOUR HEALTHIEST MIND

Empowering yourself is essential to overcoming barriers in healthy eating.  Why? Because it is never just about food. There are underlying issues of guilt or shame that can fuel a negative relationship with food, and finding a way to get around those mental blocks is so critical. Instead of putting a Band-Aid on the problem, nutrition Expert Haley Goodrich reminds us that we are most successful in overcoming our struggles when the root of the problem is directly addressed.

Here are 6 quick tips to put your mind back in control when you find yourself in need of a little pep talk:

1. YOU ARE WORTHY, YOU ARE POWERFUL.

Say it to yourself every day and truly understand what it means. We are each unique in our shape and our purpose.

2. DAILY GRATITUDE.

Live more in the present and obsess less; shift your focus to something you are grateful for. Every day, make note of one thing you appreciate about yourself or your life.

3. LIVE UNAPOLOGETICALLY.

You never have to apologize, feel regret or shame for being YOU! Love the body you live in because it does so much for you.

4. SURRENDER TO THE STRUGGLE.

Do not resist it, experience it so it can take you somewhere.  We all struggle and we are supposed to. You would not be where you are today if you didn’t.

5. BODY FREEDOM.

Body freedom is to fully understand that your body is merely a physical form. True empowerment comes from the less tangible: your mental, physical, and internal wellness.

6. YOU HAVE BECOME A HUMAN “DOING”. YOU NEED TO BE A HUMAN BEING.

You are worthy and valuable no matter how much you produce or achieve in a day. In other words, sometimes less is best.
